Gapfy Riff overview
Gapfy Riff is a native Windows Git client with a simple promise: stay calm. It gives you a clear picture of your repositories, a safety net under every risky operation, and team conventions that are checked while you type instead of argued about in review. There is zero AI by default, and it stays that way unless you turn something on.
Here at Gapfy, we build software for a living, which makes us hard to please when it comes to our own tools. Riff is the Git client we wanted on our own desks.
Built on the real Git
Riff drives the Git CLI already installed on your machine, so every operation behaves exactly like your terminal. Worktrees, named stashes, content search, one-click terminal launch and SSH key management are all built in.
What you get
- A commit graph with colored lanes, rounded connectors, author avatars, merge dots and branch and tag chips, plus an all-branches view and infinite scroll.
- Per-file staging, side-by-side diffs with syntax highlighting, collapsible hunks, image before and after previews, and a focus mode.
- Commit templates, branch-naming patterns and PR templates defined once in the Gapfy web portal and validated live in every client.
- Undo and redo for rebase, squash, cherry-pick, reset and force-push, each protected by a snapshot taken first.
- Workspaces, a Repository Management home tab, and Setlist, a cross-repo hub for pull requests, issues and works in progress.
- Connections to Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab and Bitbucket, including self-hosted and enterprise instances.
Availability
Riff runs on Windows today and is distributed through the Microsoft Store. You can start in guest mode without an account, or sign in with your Gapfy identity to sync workspaces, tracked repositories and template sets across devices.
