Workspaces and Setlist

A shop's checkout may depend on a storefront, a payments service and a shared library. Group their repositories in one workspace. When a colleague asks for a review, Setlist helps you find the request and open the right repository.

Organize the repositories

  1. Create a workspace for the product and give it a recognizable name. Add existing clones from disk, or connect a host and clone repositories.
  2. In Repository Management, mark frequently used repositories as favorites. Check their branch, pending edits and commits ahead of or behind the upstream branch. Check the health of the host connection if a remote repository is missing.
  3. Open the repositories you want to update in tabs and choose Fetch All from the toolbar. This fetches remote changes for the open repository tabs. A repository listed only in the workspace is outside that operation. Inspect the new commits before merging or rebasing your branch.

Plan a review in Setlist

Select a workspace or Git host to narrow the view. Pull requests are grouped by who is waiting: requests where you are a reviewer, and requests you opened yourself. Issues shows assigned issues or work items. Work in progress shows local repositories with uncommitted files.

For example, open a payment-related pull request in your browser to read the discussion. To try its source branch while keeping the storefront fix on disk, create a worktree from the request and choose a separate folder. Save a view for the reviews you check regularly. Snooze an item to return to it later.

Work on another computer

Sign in to sync workspace and tracked repository records. Clone or open the repository on the other computer to work with its files there. Your working files, staged changes and unpushed commits belong to their local clone. In guest mode you can track a limited number of repositories on one device.

Free includes one workspace, three repositories per workspace and one host connection. Pro raises those limits to 50 workspaces, 200 repositories per workspace and four host connections. See how to review a change before committing.
