Connect a Git host and review a pull request
Use a host connection to browse accessible repositories, clone a selection and work with pull requests. Riff supports Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab and Bitbucket. Your host account determines which repositories and actions are available.
Connect an account
- Open Integrations in Settings, choose the provider and enter the account details it requests. Use the organization for Azure DevOps and the workspace for Bitbucket. For a company-hosted instance, use its configured server address.
- Provide a token with the permissions needed for your task. If browser sign-in is configured for GitHub, you can authorize the displayed device code instead. Validate and save the connection.
- Browse the repositories under that connection. Select one or more and choose the destination folder before cloning. When several accounts could match a remote, choose the connection for that repository. Review connection health in Repository Management if access changes.
Review and create pull requests
Open Pull Requests in a repository tab. Filter the list, choose a request and select a file to read its diff. GitHub and Bitbucket supply the diff through the provider. For Azure DevOps and GitLab, Riff compares branch references in the local clone and may fetch missing references. A request can be visible while its file comparison is unavailable on this computer.
To create a request, choose distinct source and target branches, supply a title, review the description and submit it with a connection allowed to create requests. To open its page at the provider, use the browser action. Use team PR templates.
Use SSH for Git transport
With OpenSSH available, open SSH Keys in Settings to inspect existing keys or generate an Ed25519 pair. Copy the public key to your provider account and use the SSH remote URL for Git operations. Keep the private key on your computer. The separate host connection supplies access to repository lists, pull requests and issues in Riff.
