Sharing and teams

A link you found is useful. A link your whole team can find is knowledge. Harmony gives you two ways to get there: sharing collections inside your team, and publishing read-only pages to the world.

Permission levels

You can share a collection with teammates at three levels:

  • Read lets people view the collection and open its links.
  • Contribute lets people add to the collection as well as read it.
  • Full Access gives people full control over the collection.

Pick the lowest level that does the job. A curated reading list usually wants Read, a shared research pool wants Contribute, and a collection you co-own with another maintainer wants Full Access.

Team spaces

Spaces in the Team area are built for working together. Put the collections your team lives in, onboarding material, shared tooling, ongoing research, into a team space so they have one home instead of five copies in five browsers. Shared with me

Everything other people have shared with you appears in a dedicated shared-with-me view, so you never have to hunt through your own spaces to find someone else's collection. Check it when a teammate tells you they shared something and it is not where you expected.

Any collection can become a read-only public page:

  1. Open the collection you want to publish.
  2. Create a public share link for it.
  3. Send the link to anyone. They can open the page without a Harmony account.

Public pages are read-only, so visitors can browse the links but never change the collection. This is the easiest way to publish a resource list, a set of references for a talk, or a starter pack for new colleagues, with zero signup friction on their side.

Remember that anyone who has the link can open the page, so publish only collections you are comfortable making public.

A note on staying organized

Shared collections work best when they follow the same habits as personal ones: clear names, tags for cross-cutting topics, and a periodic cleanup. The same drag and drop and tagging tools from Spaces and collections apply everywhere.
