Getting started

Harmony runs as a browser extension or as a full web app. Both talk to the same account, and everything syncs between them, so you can start with one and add the other later.

Choose your surface

Install the extension if you can. It adds capture actions to your browser: saving the current tab, right-click saving, keyboard shortcuts, and the optional new-tab dashboard and Chrome side panel.

If your company does not allow extensions, use the web app at harmony.gapfy.io instead. It offers the full dashboard, works on phones, and can be installed as a PWA.

Install the extension

  1. Open the Chrome Web Store and find Gapfy Harmony. On Edge, use the Edge Add-ons listing instead. On Brave, install straight from the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Add the extension to your browser and confirm the permissions prompt.
  3. Pin the Harmony icon to your toolbar so the save action is always within reach.

Harmony signs you in with a Microsoft account. Gapfy authenticates through Microsoft Entra External ID, so there is no separate Harmony password to create or remember.

  1. Open the extension, or go to harmony.gapfy.io.
  2. Choose to sign in and pick your Microsoft account.
  3. Sign in with the same account on any other device and your data follows you there.

Create your first space

A space is a project-sized container for your links. The dashboard has a Personal area for spaces that are yours alone and a Team area for spaces you share. Open the dashboard, press Ctrl+Shift+H from the extension, and create a space in your Personal area for whatever you are working on right now. Inside it, create a collection, for example one called Reading or Research.

Save your first tab

  1. Browse to any page worth keeping.
  2. Use the extension's save action, or press Ctrl+Shift+S to file the page into your last-used collection.
  3. Open the dashboard with Ctrl+Shift+H and find your page as a link card, with its favicon and a preview image where the site provides one.

That is the whole loop: browse, save, find it again later.
